Academic Excellence

Academic Excellence is the area towards which we will dedicate a majority of our efforts in order to truly address the issues that are facing our students. This year we will continue to work to increase academic performance and engineering retention rates of NSBE members. In addition we will enhance the educational skill-set of NSBE members through experiential learning opportunities and innovation. Details regarding our Academic Excellence will be detailed at a later date.

 

Chapter Development

Based on the Society's metrics, we want to understand the condition/status of chapter membership. Programs will also be assessed to significantly improve chapter success on all levels. Last year was a great success, the chapter is currently on ways to improve and implement professional development for this upcoming school year.

2015-2016 LTU NSBE Chapter Directives

• Increase our NSBE membership enrollment

• Raise the Average GPA of the chapter

• Establish ourselves with the local NSBE Junior chapter

• Provide a college tour to interested students each Semester

• Increase Community involvement

• Provide Internship/Co-op opportunities to all members.

• Provide workshops to prepare students for career fair interactions, and job expectations.
